Realtor Marketing: Create a Winning Relocation Kit

Source: Create a Winning Relocation Kit

Moving to a new town can be nerve-racking. Help ease the process by providing your clients with a Relocation Information Kit. Here are four steps for putting one together to win clients for life:

Step 1: Visit your local chamber of commerce and visitor information center to pick up fliers and brochures about local activities, parks and recreation. Make sure to get the children’s attention with a listing of kid-friendly activities. If you can pass along coupons or discounts for nearby restaurants and events, kudos to you!

Step 2: Gather and include information about schools, medical facilities, utilities, public transportation and services, and shopping. Also include a list of short-term rental options or extended-stay hotels, if needed.

Step 3: Create and include a moving checklist document, so your clients feel more prepared for the packing and traveling process. Consider including blank real estate forms along with a written explanation of how real estate works in your market, so the process doesn’t feel so unfamiliar at offer time.

Step 4: Grab a handful of USPS Priority Mail envelopes (they’re free!). Back at your office, assemble 10-15 Relocation Information Kits ahead of time. When a prospect makes a request, simply drop a cover letter inside and mail.

As an added bonus, consider supplementing your relocation kit by sending a fruit basket to your clients’ hotel room while they’re in town to view homes. They will appreciate both the welcome and having healthy snacks on hand.

Taking a proactive approach can help ease relocation stress for your clients and inspire repeat business and referrals.
